More About Nico Vargas
After years of traveling in pursuit of a career in baseball, I came home to Santa Cruz County to start my new career in real estate. It's hard to believe that was in 2015! Being a REALTOR® allows me the opportunity to help people through such a massive time in their life, for which I will always be grateful. That enables me to satisfy the part of myself that has always been drawn to education, coaching, and helping people.
When I first started in real estate, I also worked in special education as a behavior technician at a few schools in the county, at a wine bar in Capitola, and coached baseball at St. Francis High School in Watsonville. The skills, memories, and people that I met during those years are something that I will never forget. While I'm no longer in the education and hospitality industries, I have been able to mentor some new real estate agents and high school students looking to get into the business. I also hope to continue coaching baseball for as long as I'm physically able to.
While I'm not showing houses or negotiating terms for my clients, I love spending time with my wife, our son Rio, our 150-pound Newfoundland, Baloo, and our three cats, Russell, Ellie, and Flower. Some of my other interests are golfing, watching new shows and movies, and hosting and cooking for our friends and family.
If you are considering buying or selling a property anywhere in the world, feel free to reach out to me! I would be happy to discuss it with you or answer any questions you might have.
